COVID-19 has hit everyone hard.  Relief is offered to mortgage holders, businesses, tenants, and others.  We, as landlords, are getting no relief.  We have tenants that do not have to pay rent or worry about eviction because of Governor Desantis's orders.  Tenants are taking advantage of this situation and Landlords are going without their pay for months on end.  We cannot get un-employment as we are self employed. For most of us, this is our livelihood. This is our income.  We have no help.  We cannot evict tenants that are not paying, and we still have our bills to pay, our taxes to pay on these properties, our insurances to pay on these properties, repairs and maintenance on these properties.  Yet we have no income to do this with. Governor Desantis there needs to be some type of grant or assistance available to us to help us through this.  We pay our taxes, we vote. We need help.  Most of the tenants have gone back to work, or are receiving unemployment, but because of your orders they do not have to worry about being evicted for non-payment.  Sure, we can wait until the order is up, but you keep extending it.  Once the order is up, we can file for evicition but that costs money also. We then have to wait, sometimes months, before the case comes to court.  Meanwhile the tenant is still living in our property rent free, possibly destroying the property.  We have to have some type of help.  Please address this issue as soon as possible!
