The reason for this petition is to enact optional face masks for Shula's Athletic Club employees. After Ron DeSantis lifted the mask mandate for businesses, Shula's Athletic Club has made the face mask optional for their members who come in to workout, but those optional privileges are not granted to the employees. More than half of Shula's Athletic Club employees have received their vaccinations and work behind a plexiglass divider to remain safe for both the members and employees. I understand the precautions the graham companies want to implement, but I find it irrational that off-duty employees are granted the privilege to choose whether they wish to wear a face mask (for exercise purposes) but not while they are on the clock.
