I think people are more likely to support my petition if it’s clear why I care. In this petition I’m going to explain how this change will impact you, your family and our Community. This Law affects me because it happened to my son who is in 3rd grade and this law helps not only protect that teacher but makes what happened to him by Florida Law ok!!

Corporal Punishment is the international use of physical force to cause bodily pain or discomfort as a penalty for unacceptable behavior in the classroom. Corporal Punishment includes any action that produces discomfort such as: Spanking, hitting, grabbing, slapping, pinching, squeezing, ear pulling, jabbing, shoving or choking.  This Law is legal in Florida and it protects bad Teachers. This law Corporal Punishment models aggressive behavior, which teaches Children to solve problems with violence it’s also has shown to lead to bullying, dating violence, and other problem behaviors that rely on having power over someone else. This change will protect your children and there future. Let’s get rid of this law allowing teachers to hurt our children! Let’s be the change!
