Why this petition matters

Started by Buddy Byars

The Citizens of Rome, Ga demanded to keep the N.B. Forrest Monument on Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The City of Rome removed it behind our backs and does not care what we think about our great city. They think we are dumb and push us around like always. They have the monuments in their secret hiding place, in which is The City of Rome’s Warehouse right behind the Rome Area HISTORICAL Center. The SCV owns the monuments they have stolen. It was placed in Rome because Forrest saved Rome from being burnt during The War Between the State. They are now wanting to put it in the Museum so they can tell a fake story on Forrest. Forrest faught for African Americans right to vote from post Civil War till the day he died. Another option they have is move it in the woods where it will be Vandalized. Don’t let them ignore us anymore Rome. Do not vote any of the commissioners back in office. Put The N.B. Forrest Monument back where it belongs or give it back to the SCV, the real owners. Thanks for your time.
