When moving from California to Arkansas, our pets moved with us.  This included a cat, a dog and a mini pig!  We traveled across the United States staying at national hotels not once being told we could not have our mini pig there.  I did my due diligence when looking for our home to buy in Arkansas.  My realtor knew that I would never buy a house where I could not have our pig "Bacon".  We finally found our forever home, I called Rogers Animal Control and was told " our new address was in "rural Rogers" and we were fine to live there.

Fast forward to last year, our neighbor whom we have never meet called animal control because we had a pig in our backyard (which is an acre fully fenced).  Animal Control told me that we were 1 block from "rural Rogers" but did not see any harm.  We were asked to put up a privacy fence which was done.

This weekend my husband was walking our pig from our nephew's house (next door) and the neighbor pulled up and started shouting that we were not allowed to have pigs in Rogers.  Today we received notice that we had 7 days to get rid of our 2 pigs (Bacon and Ollie).

Due to no fault of their own, they are being judged by someone who would not take the time to know them.  I am asking for your support in changing the ordinance in Rogers AR.  The ordinance (6-256) states" No person shall keep hogs within the city"  Our pets are not hogs!
