Joining a group of Congressional Republicans that have decided the American voter is a nuisance, Roger Marshall launched an assault on our democracy. In the aftermath of a terrorist attack on the Capitol, he stood in the building where a woman had been shot to death hours before and continued his campaign to encourage Americans and his fellow lawmakers to ignore the results of the 2020 Presidential election. To be clear, he has no reason, in good faith, to question the results. The votes have been cast, counted, and recounted multiple times. Investigations have been launched and concluded. Nothing nefarious has taken place, except for the right-wing effort to overturn the election using their massive disinformation machine to flood the national conversation with baseless assertions of fraud and election-based conspiracy theories.
Marshall's actions have been totally reckless, shameful, and fueled by cynicism. He is motivated only by his desire to score points with Trump's base. It is his responsibility as a Senator to support and defend our Constitution - a job for which he is clearly not suited. For the good of our country and the welfare of its citizens, Roger Marshall needs to step aside and allow somebody more deserving to take his place in the U.S. Senate. Go home, Roger.
