End use of the "Live Answer" service at all Carolinas Healthcare System Pediatric offices.

As Carolinas Healthcare System continues to grow and evolve, the need to stay focused on the needs of the patient should be held at the forefront of this endeavor. As the parent of three children and a member of the healthcare community, I do not think that having a call center answer the phones at the Pediatric office is in a child's best interest. We have been loyal to the practice at Rocky River Pediatrics since we moved here in 2005. We have grown to know and love the office staff and take great comfort in hearing their voices when we call. These friendly and familiar voices have now been replaced with "Live Answer. " I do feel that for an adult practice, "Live Answer" is a fine alternative. This is not right for a pediatric office. I have experienced nothing but hassles and miscommunications since this started and I have heard from people all across the area, parents and office staff alike, who have the same complaints! So please, stop the use of live answer for the pediatric offices!
