Dear Americans, 

We are all facing tough times. From COVID to the war in Ukraine, our county has endured the utmost violence, polarization, and political gridlock. However, the topic today involves the rights of women across America. Regardless of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or political standing, American women face an insurmountable challenge. A challenge that undermines their faith in our institutions, political advocates, and most importantly, themselves. The Roe v. Wade decision will create shock waves across the country and will deny women the right to an abortion. First and foremost, their mental and emotional state will be strained with the fact that their own human right to their bodies has been legally taken away. Furthermore, the denial of access to an abortion or possibly contraceptives will FORCE women across the nation to carry without medical access. As a nation, state, and community, women will suffer the consequences of the lack of medical access and the denial of their human right of choice. This plea is not out of political choice. It is not because I have liberal or conservative views or agendas. It is because I realize the harm and danger of denying women their human right. It is because I retain my humanity and realize that this decision exceeds politics and religion. And it is because I have seen the effects of division in our country and how they will affect our future generations. Whether you're liberal, conservative, independent, religious or non-religious, poor or rich, we should all vote to keep Roe v. Wade in ANY future political elections.
