Hats and caps have become a major part of fashion and a major part of any kid’s wardrobe. The days are gone that baseball hats are only worn on the field. Some kids like me, have a different hat for just about every occasion. If the idea of hats being a hiding spot is the issue, then why can’t they just be searched? And if that were really the case, then why are backpacks still allowed? Anything could be hidden much easier in a backpack, not a hat. Neither caps nor do-rags affect the ability to recognize students when worn correctly. All I am asking is to have the freedom for everyone to wear their caps, hats and do-rags the proper way at school.
