Upon visiting the Muslim Cemetery with the entrance on Millar Rd W for my grandparents burial, I was shocked at the state of the Memorial Park; the wind blowing the sand onto those grieving the loss of loved ones and the scorching sun frying everyone as the family of the deceased attempted to give a speech to those attending the service. Losing my grandparents was already one of the toughest times, but seeing their new home at the cemetery upset me and family even more. 

Upon driving home, I visited the Rockingham Memorial Park with the entrance on Baldivis Rd. The vibrant trees with neatly cut grass created a pleasant atmosphere and inviting character. Conveniently, there was also a covered area with seating for guests to gather. This is the type of upgrade the Muslim Cemetry of Rockingham Regional Memorial Park desperately requires. 

I am currently gathering signatures of local residents, family and friends who are in favour of this redevelopment. The Muslim Cemetry's redevelopment must be brought to the council's attention.
