Currently the land surrounding and including 200 Happy Home School Road, is zoned RA or RM. RA is Residential Agricultural, which provides a place for agricultural and very low-density residential uses. RM, Residential Mixed, provides a place for medium density residential uses of all types providing that water and sewer systems are provided and approved by appropriate authorities.  

This land had restrictions when purchased where no livestock, no junk cars, and no dwelling under 1300 sq foot could reside. Rezoning this area to another category that would allow for a kennel would be detrimental to our area. The current smells and noise coming from the area are atrocious.  The dog feces, especially in the hotter months is unfathomable. When mowing the grass, or having the children go out and play are very difficult when the nice crisp summer day has turned into breathing fecal matter.   The noise is constant. The dogs are always barking and there are currently trees in place that do not help. Research has shown that the noise of a barking dog constitutes a health hazard. 

The purpose of zoning laws/ordinances is to promote public health, safety, convenience, comfort, and general welfare. By rezoning this area to allow for a kennel, you will allow my neighbor to degrade the health and well-being of me and my family by the way of chronic noise and pollution of ground water from the seepage of the abundance of feces from the animals.
