On September 5, 2021, Araceli Sotelo was at work when a man entered the premises to rob her. When she wouldn’t give in, he tried to take her purse and attack her. Araceli fought back, even going to the length of grabbing his gun when he dropped it and hit him with it. Araceli fought for her life, and her work deemed it “necessary” to suspend her for sharing the videos of this mans’ attack. It is not right at all for her to suffer consequences for defending herself, and her work should not be punishing her for sharing what happened to her. Please sign this petition in effort for her to go back to work, and for Subway to look into their management at this location since they have failed their employee miserably. Araceli’s gofundme will be attached, her phone was broken in the process of this attack, and the man did get away with her purse containing all of her money, cards, and ID that had her personal address on it. Hopefully she remains safe, but this will help get Araceli justice since she was so wrongfully punished for keeping herself safe.
