The wage gap affects all of us, especially women of different races and socio-economic statuses. Our Junior Girl Scout Troop Bronze project this year is to bring awareness of this problem to other kids. Specifically, we are trying to bring awareness to our area middle school students, and we are asking for your support for this initiative. The more aware we are of this problem, the readier we will be to work towards change in our community and to help make informed decisions as we become the next generation of voters. This will help women, men, children, and families. We have done research, created a sample website, informational brochure, newsletter article, and presentation, and we are attempting to incorporate some type of programming like this into middle schools in the Wisconsin area. Please sign our petition respectfully asking our government officials and school boards to help us bring awareness of the wage gap to our middle schools. We appreciate your support.
