On Sunday, January 10, 2016, 911 received a call from a female reporting that a man had been stabbed in an alley in the 200 block of Watson Road in Sullivan, Missouri. The alleged suspect, Millard Arbogast, 43, had fled the scene with an adult female and a two year old. (This was Mr.Arbogast's girlfriend and child). Mr. Arbogast was later found and arrested. My nephew  and the crime victim, Austin Lusty, died from those stab wounds at the young age of 24. The Sullivan Police Department handed a charge of SECOND DEGREE MURDER to prosecutor Robert Parks in Franklin County. As of today, January 13, 2016, Millard Arbogast is a free man carrying on his life. Supposedly, the case remains under investigation and as reported by the Sullivan Independent news, Lt. Patrick Johnson says several people at the scene are now giving conflicting statements as to whether self defense could be an issue. No weapons were possesed by my nephew and every stab he received was a death blow! The one in his neck severed an artery. The two in the chest collapsed his lungs. So I ask you, even if you were defending  yourself, why would you need any after the first stab? Austin would have been unable to function after the first death blow! Which is exactly how he lay bleeding out waiting for help! Now people are giving conflicting accounts of what happened, and they all know one another. Mr.Arbogast's girlfriend was the initial reason Austin went outside. Domestic Violence.... Of course her story would change, often people in these situations stay and after all, Mr. Arbogast is her child's father. Sadly, I have to say that my nephew was MURDERED....He was given 12 pints of blood totally replacing his body blood volume twice! He fought for his life while his family, including his own 4 year old son, waited .....He had a breathing tube from a collapsed lung...he was unresponsive... As the "friends" give conflicting accounts to police (which differ from their first accounts of a domestic violence between Mr. Arbogast and his girlfriend that my nephew intervened in) they do so to other friends in this small town! Accounts that they waited to phone 911...? That they in fact took money off my nephew's person. (I can tell you his money was not with him). I SMELL A SKUNK..... The family of Austin Lusty is outragged that he had to die in such a brutal and painful way and his killer may walk free. Please sign this petition telling the prosecutor it is not acceptable for charges not to be filed! Please hold Mr.Millard Arbogast accountable for his choice to take a life!
