Every state seems to accommodate its residents, like NY when they did online knowledge tests, but NJ seems to stay behind. With Omicron now being a part of our reality and COVID cases going up rapidly within our state, it’s only fair to accommodate the residents of NJ by giving them access to online NJ MVC services again, with the inclusion of the knowledge test. Many of us have had the terrible experience of having to wait months for an appointment. Then, drive hours to that appointment. As a citizen of NJ myself I think we should take NJ MVC virtual because there is a present emergency and we shouldn’t keep struggling to receive this essential service. The bill referenced states that NJ, “Requires MVC to provide written knowledge examination online during COVID-19 public health emergency and state of emergency.” So due to the new variant at hand and the many COVID cases rising in NJ, the passing of this bill would be truly appreciated by NJ residents. It would keep residents safer and under less stress. I ask that you kindly consider passing bill NJ A4632 (S3177) and bring virtual MVC services back as-well, so that NJ residents may no longer have to struggle or put themselves at risk.
