Improve New Jersey Service Dog Laws

To Governor Chris Christie and NJ State Legislators:
Please strengthen New Jersey service dog laws. Currently, the service dog laws in place are weak and ineffective. If I were to walk into a store with my service dog and I was asked to leave, I would have to comply or face fines of trespassing. At this time, the only thing I can do is take the business to civil court as denying access to service dogs is not a criminal offense in New Jersey. 39 states make it criminal! Why not New Jersey? Many states, including Florida, deem denying service dogs access as a criminal offense including a misdemeanor charge. If I was in Florida and denied access to a business because of my service dog, I could call the police and they would be able to immediately help me out. However, in New Jersey, the only action I can make is taking the business to civil court, where the issue may not be resolved until months later.
WE MUST make New Jersey service dog laws criminal not just civil
Many people rely on service dogs and we cannot allow this discrimination to continue in the state of New Jersey. I am asking you to create a law that is similar to the law in Florida in regards to service dog access laws.
