We want Eric Legrand to be the 2014 commencement speaker!

Rutgers University has been dirtied by partisan politics for quite some time. Recently Condoleezza Rice declined to speak at Rutgers University 2014 Commencement due to student and faculty anger and protest fuelled by her actions in the Bush White House. Condoleezza Rice in the view of some is partly responsible for many of the darker moments in American history, therefore it was extremely unwise of the Rutgers Administration to invite her. After she removed herself from the equation the administration contacted Eric Legrand to speak. Eric was a former Rutgers Football player who became paralyzed during a game; his determination to fight and live life HIS WAY is remarkable and truly inspirational not only for the Rutgers community but for the entire WORLD! Unfortunately due to even more dirty partisanship the University decided to have former Republican Governor Thomas Kean speak. This is a source of shame for me as a Rutgers student and is a source of shame for the entire Rutgers community.
We want to remain pure from all partisanship! We have no issue with Governor Kean speaking, the issue is partisanship! Eric Legrand's story and mission outshines all other suggestions and it would be a huge loss for the University if he were not given a chance.
We demand the President, the Board of Governors, and all those wielding power to correct this gross injustice immediately. Eric Legrand deserves to be the 2014 Commencement Speaker!
