Why this petition matters

In an attempt to generate revenue for economic development, the citizens of the country should not suffer abuse.

There would have been nothing wrong with toll collection except the fact that over time there is no assessment to it's effectiveness and efficiency to productivity at large. Development has taken place, population has grown large, settlement have evolved, and its only considerate that action be taken to lighten the burdens of the same people who are custodians of the land, the same land that the revenue from the tolls attempts to develop. Development must be holistic and sustainable, if so, then they should be a considerable thought of the health, time, productivity, family life, social life and work life of the individuals subjected to the payment of toll. At what level of relevance is it , to spend 30min to an hour, each morning and evening to settle a 50 pesewa or 1 cedi requirement of toll..

Are we considering the fumes being inhaled in the gatherings of 500 to 1000 cars at a still? The noise being consumed at a sitting ..The fuel in waste, the pain being endured from postures assumed in public transport ..

Are we considering the fact that among these individuals are people journeying to seek health care and in its emergency!

Have we considered that work starts 3 hours before start time and ends 3 hours after start time only because traffic must be endured just because of toll!

And are we going to attempt to consider, that if a minister , police or any other higher Ghanaian (in context ) can just blow his horn and make away with the years others are spending in the traffic , then we could all be beneficiaries of such privilege.. Once and for all.
