The 216 is currently 90km/h but if you’ve ever driven down the highway you will quickly notice that everyone is going 100+ I’ve been pulled over multiple times on the 216 for speeding while not even noticing, and I’m sure I’m not the only one
Quite frankly there is no reason for the 216 to be as slow as it is especially since Vehicle safety has improved tremendously over the last 50 years. In 1970 a vehicle collision had a 55% chance to end in a fatality. Today a collision has only a 25% chance of fatality.
I know I don’t stand alone in thinking the 216 could benefit from a speed limit adjustment, and I’m sure the communities of New Bothwell, Kleefeld, And Grunthal would feel the same way
