Why this petition matters

Hello RJUHSD,

Please sign this petition for MASK CHOICE at RJUHSD to support the resolution on the upcoming board agenda!

We want to show the RJUHSD Board of Trustees that there is wide spread support in our community for a mask optional policy and support them in approving the resolution for Mask Choice.

Students at RJUHSD and across the state of California have been mandated to wear masks at school since school re-opened in 2020.  In fact, the last year your student had a normal school year was three years ago.

Governor Newsom doesn't follow his own mandates as demonstrated at the NFL Championship game in LA on 1/30/22.  There is no end in sight for our students, no off-ramp, no metrics to change, no end date.  Are we in a state of perpetual masking of children?

We know the personal impacts of students wearing masks every day, the challenges with learning, with concentration, with social engagement, with mental health, with anxiety - the list is endless.

The time is NOW to stand up for your rights as parents, for students to stand and take off their masks and for teachers to unmask and support their students for the sake of their education and social wellbeing.

If you are a student, a parent, a guardian, a teacher, an administrator - at RJUHSD and you want the freedom of choice, the right to breathe freely, the constitutional right to be free...then sign this petition and fight for MASK CHOICE!

Wouldn't it be great to see faces again at school?!

Sincerely,
