In the 1960's, massive controversy was sparked by the fact that men old enough to be drafted into the armed forces and forced to go to war could not even vote on the politicians that were sending them.  This eventually resulted in an amendment to the United States Constitution.  Recently, the state of Texas has committed a transgression of equal grievousness.  People considered to be adults, people able to vote and be drafted, have had placed upon them a restriction so inequitable that it threatens the very founding principles of this state.  A citizen of Texas, no matter the age, should be free, free to go about their own life in the way that they desire. If a teen desires to purchase and consume tobacco products, in a perhaps futile effort  to quell the affliction of living in such a discriminatory state, they should be able to do so without penalty.  Now, I give you the opportunity to act, to be the change you want to see in this unjust world.  Do not sit idly by while others' rights are infringed on, or your's shall be the next to perish.
