Reduce Plastic Bottle Waste on Rivier Campus
Plastic bottles are not only one of the most unrecycled plastic goods in the world, but they are also significantly less healthy than cleaner, filtered water. While upping the number of bottles that are recycled on campus is a great idea, it's not reasonable to expect every single college student to be able to always recycle their plastic bottles. So the next best solution is to get rid of the problem at its source and ditch the plastic bottles entirely.
Replacing our need for water with water bottle filling stations in each main building. Not only is the water cleaner and healthier than plastic bottles, it also incentivizes students to bring their own reusable water bottles to fill them up with filtered, clean water. But this is no easy task as it takes money and time to implement these stations onto our campus. By signing this petition you will help support our effort to reduce and eliminate plastic bottle waste on Rivier University's campus.
