I have suffered from PTSD for 50 years and been in treatment for thirty of them. I have had officially my service dog since 2006 The ADA, DRC, HHS and NH behavioral health all recognize her for her services. My original letter is from my doctor and a Riverbend employee signed in 2006 . I find coping with crowds and public places very difficult and Una alleviates my symptoms greatly without my being medicated by drugs that harm my Health, Cognitive and Social abilities or to be required escorting helpers that hamper my independence and freedom of choice of time and place. It seems that that there is issues of liability among other vague issues as well as Their sales representatives from drug companies finding issues with my refusal to be medicated experimentally with questionable and debilitating products. I am sick and tired of the run around for the last three years and I can't just get another Doctor/Psychiatrist because of my limited income from SSDI and limited choices from Medicare and Medicaid and the Medical alienation of us in NH on these services, by our prestigious Medical Professionals and the organizations that support them. I am required by the City of Concord NH to receive an updated letter stating Una is my PTSD service dog because they say my current letter is to old for them to accept so I can have the cities fees waved to register her and to Have NHHFA give me credit from housing costs for having a service dog. So I can afford to have her to receive Medical services other than basic shots. She will be 8 on 4/1/2013 and with her age she needs more than I can afford yet I can't function fully without her at my side. I need a Document signed by a Psychiatrist stating she is a PTSD service Dog for my Benifit to allow me to function more fully with a Quality of life beyond just existance to cope with stressors inhibiting my daily life ie panic attacks and social anxieties specific to PTSD.
