I, Lillie Wildman, am an incoming freshman from Southern Vermont.  I am very excited to start my RIT journey but there is a concern within our community, that concern being our mascot.  Ritchie has certainly done a great job representing our RIT community but my peers and I believe it is time for a change.  After much consideration, we would like to suggest that our new mascot be Mango, my orange tabby cat.  We can bring her to games as you guys did decades ago when you had a live tiger at your games.  We wouldn’t have to get rid of Mango as she got older because she would not be a threat to our community.  Mango would represent our community well, showing agility, perseverance and adorableness to our students.  

I hope you consider Mango to be a new mascot for us, as we believe she would be a great fit within our community.
