Living as a felon is one of the hardest things I’ve ever been through the government throws you back into the world with rules and limitations on what your life will be. Many people believe that if you are a felon you deserve to be exactly where we are but I’m here to tell you a lot of us are good people who fell down the wrong path in life or are given terrible deals from the government so they can make profits off their people either from prison or from probation. I myself was arrested at 17 and was given the worst deal of a lifetime because I was scared of being sent away to prison away from my family and from society. I believe low level felons like myself deserve a fighting chance in this world and not forced to work at McDonald’s and other low paying jobs with no benefits we deserve a real 2nd chance in society. I’d like for felons to be able to get any job that does involve government status or jobs around weapons/ firearms. Stop companies from not hiring us because our past and focus on who we are now I’d like for companies not to be able to discriminate us because of our charges unless they are serious like murder/ rape and crimes of that nature if you believe in a true second chance then please sign this petition for more rights for felons!
