MANDATORY COMMERCIAL GENERATORS FOR ALL NURSING HOMES
0 have signed. Let’s get to 200!
In lieu of the recent deaths of eight elderly people at the Rehabilitation Center of Hollywood Hills (1200 N. 35th Ave.), changes in operations must be made in order to ensure their future safety and well being.
I propose that it should be mandatory that commercial generators be installed in every ALF (assisted living facilities) and nursing home in Florida. Whenever a tropical storm or hurricane hits, we are left without power. Every single commercial establishment where seniors reside, should require a generator large enough to power the entire facility. Failure to comply should result in immediate termination of license to operate.
It is unfathomable what just occured with these eight elderly deaths. Every facility should be held responsible for the care of their patients and should be held accountable for their health and safety.
I urge you to help me in achieving this much needed change for elderly patients. Please sign this petition in an effort to bring comfort and safety to those who otherwise would not have the voice to do so.
Mr. Rick Scott please consider this petition and take action. Your interest and effort is highly appreciated.
