Don't Close Florida Beaches
0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!
The Governor of Florida, Rick Scott, just signed a bill that will be closing many of the beaches around Florida starting July 1, 2018. The beaches that many of you enjoyed growing up on as children and now bring your children to, will soon be closed to the public. The new law that was signed by Rick Scott gives the jurisdiction to the property owners as to who can go on the beach. Oh yes, Rick Scott is one of those property owners. He should have put this bill to the vote of the people of Florida first, because it is their taxes that refurbish all of the beaches in Florida after every storm, but it wasn't. If we lose this fight, you will only be able to walk along the high tide line of most of the beaches in Florida or face getting arrested for trasspessing. If we win, families can still take their children to experience one of the worlds greatest gifts, Mother Nature at her best. Please sign this petition and share it. It affects everyone and what is happening in Florida could happen in your state next.
