Call a special election to replace Florida State Rep. Carlos Trujillo

0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!

Florida Rep. Carlos Trujillo has accepted the President's nomination for the office of Deputy United Nations Ambassador in the State Department.  But he doesn't want to resign his current term as State Representative for Florida's House District 105 (parts of Miami-Dade, Broward and Collier counties). This term extends through 2018.  Rep. Trujillo has already missed key budget meetings, but he wants to continue receiving his state salary in addition to a federal salary.  His work on behalf of the nation will be very demanding, but the citizens of Florida have urgent need for representation, especially in the wake of Hurricane Irma, which has strongly impacted the district.  Because the citizens of State House District 105 are entitled to full representation, it is demanded that Florida Governor Rick Scott call a special election to replace Rep. Carlos Trujillo as soon as possible.
