Richland High School’s dress code is unfair and we need your help to change it. RHS’s dress code is targeted towards feminine students, sexualizes women’s bodies, and is enforced unfairly. Simple clothing items such as leggings and skinny jeans are against dress code rules. These clothing items are in no way revealing or sexual. The dress code states that they “enhance the figure”, clearly sexualizing the feminine figure. The dress code being heavily enforced on women is unfair due to the fact that they are the victims. Others are the ones who are sexualizing and letting themselves “get distracted” by feminine clothing.
