Why is AGL not held accountable for every protected animal that it kills in their facilities. "Jo average" has stiff fines imposed for killing protected animals. Why the double standard. Audits should be conducted by an independent authority not AGL.

I'm signing because if we were to kill this many birds, we'd be heavily fined and put in jail! So why is it so different for AGL?

I'm not a customer of theirs for
nothing. AGL, it says nowhere that you stand outside the law!! You need to do what others need to do when it comes to permit conditions!! Pretty simple English.

Everyone, including the big power companies should be accountable for their actions.

I am appalled at the numbers of bird and bat deaths at the Macarthur generation facility.
While AGL's wind 'farm' will be mitigating greenhouse gas outputs, it is counter-productive for the environment if it is permitted to continue breaching its conditions of operation. If it can do this, so can other wind 'farms'.
The Government and Moyne Shire must enforce proper procedures and mitigation of risk to avifauna.
