Over the past couple of years, Iceland Foods Ltd - the UK's leading frozen food store, has been working hard to become a more environmentally friendly and sustainable business.

It's not just Mums that go to Iceland anymore. It's everyone. This year the retailer became the top supermarket for customer satisfaction beating Waitrose, Lidl and Tesco.

We think it's important Iceland keeps up the great work.

**We want the food retailer to pledge its love to the planet and change its name to NICELAND before the end of 2020.**

We want Iceland to commit to the planet for the foreseeable future and encourage other major food retailers to do so. If Iceland can cut out palm oil and go plastic-free why can't other supermarkets?

First things first...we need your help!

If you didn't know already...

Iceland is to become the first major UK supermarket to pledge to remove palm oil from all its own-brand foods, in a bid to halt the ongoing destruction of tropical rainforests in south-east Asia.

Iceland’s pledge is that by the end of 2018, 100% of the supermarket’s own brand food lines will contain no palm oil, reducing demand by more than 500 tonnes per year. Iceland said that before this, palm oil was present in 130 products, or 10% of its own brand food.

Back in January 2018 it also vowed to completely eliminate plastic packaging for all own brand products within five years to help end the "scourge" of plastic pollution. Again it was the first major retailer to do so.

The food retailer has also just launched a brand new vegan and vegan-friendly food range. The largest plant-based frozen food range in the UK.
