Save Lark Ellen Elementary from being closed by the CVUSD Board of Education.

Lark Ellen Elementary is a K-5 school, with class size reduction in place thru third grade classrooms. Covina-Valley Unified School Board is planning on closing this school which is over 100 years old this June. The school is named after a famous Coloratura Soprano Singer who settled in Covina, California in the early 1900's, Ellen Beach Yaw. The CVUSD Board of Education has decided to close this historic elementary even though it has a higher API score, higher School Ranking, higher Enrollment, connects directly to Las Palmas Middle School and Northview High School and is in a safer Neighborhood than the other elementary school. Over 350 students and their families will be affected with this planned closure of Lark Ellen Elementary. As Parents, "We Must be the Voice for our Children or their Voice will Forever be Silenced". We demand that the Covina-Valley Unified School Board reconsider their decision and not close Lark Ellen Elementary, but instead close the most logical and appropriate school. Please sign our petition and share it through email, text, word of mouth, and any social media sites.
Thanking you in advance from the Lark Ellen Parents and Community
