My name is Julius L, Washington my IDOC number is S09629.

  I would like to began this by first off apologizing to the family of Earl C. Jackson the victim of my case. I take full responsibility of my actions and wish everyday of my life that I can turn back the hands of time and take back my actions and change the out come for everyone involved. I fully understand the impact it has had on both families and the actual passing of his very own life, and the incarceration of my own. There is really no words that can be spoken or said to fill the void of a loved one who has passed, even more for myself to be the cause of it is even harder to search for them very words.

Over time I've realized that actions speak louder than words, so everyday that goes by I try and speak through my actions to continue to better myself for the man I am today and I try to help better the people around me and involved in my life in anyway. 

My case took place on September 2007 at the time I was 19 years old and its now October 2021 and in a few months I will become 34 years old. I have became 15 years older and recently the 14th year going into to the 15th year of this incident has come and is near.

On Jan. 21,2009 I was sentenced to 25 years and was told to do 100 percent of my sentence. I am a few months away from 13 years served on that 25 year sentence. Within this time I have served I have changed and evolved so much from the person I was to the man I am today, and through my actions I would love to have the chance to return home and continue my journey in life, and to not only have a impact on others lives around me but to do my best on helping others avoid and not destroy others lives like the way I have done!

Since I've been incarcerated I have obtained my high school diploma, I'm currently  enrolled into a course for business management and upon completion I will receive my degree. I have had no major prison infractions and over the years Ive always maintained a work assignment and helped as many as I can along the way. I truly believe I have impacted many of more lives for the better inside these walls and many more outside of them. Thank you for taking the time and consideration to read and impact my life.
