In Waterbury Connecticut, The public school system has mostly co-ed sport leagues. I’m trying to change it. Why can’t there be a females league and not just ONLY a males league with additional girls? Middle Schools and High Schools throughout Waterbury should have both Male and Female teams. Waterburys’ district could form a girls team from schools all over Waterbury? There could be a possibility that the public schools, ( Kaynor Tech, Crosby, Wilby, Kennedy, and WCA ) could all form a league. If we needed any financial assistance we can do so by fundraising- etc. Some young women don’t feel as comfortable playing with males or at a males skill level. Everyone is different and that should be known. This can also create a closer spirit of friendship among high school / middle school girls.
