K.R.D ✊ started this petition to Richard A. Carranza and

The nature of this petition is to bring light for the need of education reform in The United States. To elucidate on the disingenuous and incomplete teachings of the history of the black community and other minority communities that have contributed greatly to the history of the U.S.

To educate the youth about the truth of this nations history. This way they may learn and grow unhinged from the bias and racist teachings of our fore fathers.

Educating there young impressionable minds at an earlier age. So that they may grow tolerate and understand the systematic and institutional discrimination that has oppressed people of color for decades.

Educating them on topics such as but not limited too:
1. African American Concentration camps after the Civil War: Devils Punchbowl
-Around 20,000 freed slaves were recaptured and perished in a place known as Devils Punchbowl in Natchez, Mississippi

2. Colorism and how it affects minority communities

3. Tulsa race massacre in 1921
Destroying black businesses and residents

4. Rosewood Massacre of 1923
A massacre of black people and there towns

5. Red lining. Denial of loan or property to a person or residents of color. Which still affects minority neighborhoods especially Blacks.

6. Mass incarceration. The higher rate of imprisonment for blacks and other minorities

7. Hair discrimination. The law that still is intact in many states that can’t allow black people to wear there own hair.

I just want our children to know the truth. What was done and is being done is more than wrong it’s immoral. How can anyone be on the same page if they don’t have the knowledge to comprehend.
