Single-use plastic bags have become a plague problem causing harm to our marine and terrestrial life. Canadians use 9 to 15 billion single-use plastic bags per year and more often than not they end up un-recycled and in our waterways and landfills. I for one am worried about the world my future children will be inheriting that is polluted with trash only used ONCE. A world where animals and marine life are suffering and dying because of the epidemic of plastic trash that they get tangled in and ingest. Montreal and Victoria has banned them, not to mention several states in the U.S and Australia is phasing them out. Let's make Toronto next!
