Repeal the unconstitutional healthcare mandate!!!

If the President of the United States of America repealed this unconstitutional act, it should absolutely NOT be reinstated by our own state lawmakers! It’s about time that the politicians of Rhode Island start caring about their citizens!!

This mandate will NOT ensure people to sign up for insurance, as most companies’ enrollment period has closed. This mandate was enacted shoddily, behind closed doors, and without notice to the public. 
Furthermore, most citizens would LOVE to have health insurance, but since failed policies such as the un”affordable health care act” took effect; premiums have risen 5 times what they were for many, while deductibles have also risen just as much. The policies that were great have become horrible and not worth it. When you raise the costs for corporations, they will obviously pass it on to their employees. 
If RI lawmakers truly cared about their citizens, they would work to fix the broken healthcare system and make it more affordable; not conduct shoddy business behind closed to doors without warning to the public before passing such an act.
