A single plastic bag takes 1,000 years to decompose and can take up to 20 years to decompose in the ocean.If we can show that a majority of our Ocean State wants to start cleaning up our oceans and beaches we can start to clean it piece by piece. We could start with banning plastic bags first as some "Stop and Shops" and certain stores will hand you paper bags instead of plastic. If we could prove that citizens want a clean environment we could start the banning of plastic bags.  So please sign and share this petition to start our Oceans Cleanup.
