Rezone a property so a doggie daycare can open in Belhaven

Dog Day Afternoon, an upscale, indoor doggie daycare wants to open in Belhaven Heights. Leslie Rosella, Canine Behavior Specialist & Pet Sitter, has been actively searching for Dog Day Afternoon's home in Belhaven/ Fondren for 4 years. The only property that can accommodate the standards of service we intend to provide is 1005 Greymont Avenue (the old Belhaven Storage building behind MS Sports Medicine). This location is not only large enough for our dogs to romp and play, but is central and convenient to neighbors and surrounding businesses.
In order for Dog Day Afternoon to open, the property located at 1005 Greymont Avenue will need to be rezoned from Mixed Use to Commercial. The petition to rezone did not receive a majority vote from the Planning Committee, therefore they will not be passing along a recommendation to the City Council on our behalf, but we can still get this done! Our City Council Members need to hear from you!
We know this is a much needed and valuable addition to our community. A large percentage of Jackson residents are pet owners. We want the highest quality care for our pets. Please help Dog Day Afternoon make Belhaven it's home.
