REVIVE THE PROTESTANT REFORMATION!

By the actions that took place on the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation we can see that the pope is aiming to officially end the Protestant Movement, it is being upheld that all Christian churches should compromise their Bible-based truths and be united because, apparently, they all preach the same gospel.
The Biblical truths that Protestants once protected with their lives are now being willingly given up for the sake of “unity”. The valuable freedom that reformers died for is being taken away right before our eyes.
In the past, the Catholic Church needed, and used, the civil power to enforce its doctrines, in contrast, the Protestant Reformation convinced people with Bible-based Truth that made them be willing to lose their lives for their faith, rather than cede to papal demands. This Truth was so powerful that eventually the papacy was no longer able to suppress the Protestant movement, and they began to lose entire countries to the Reformation.
The Protestant Reformation gave humanity the light that it had been deprived of for hundreds of years. It allowed people to read The Word of God in their own language (something that had been forbidden) The Protestant Reformation freed people from false doctrines, it gave them the right to reason and act according to their conscience, with the simple truths of The Bible, together with the Holy Spirit as their guide.
Furthermore, the Pilgrim Founders would have never gone to the Americas if there had not been a Reformation, and the basic principles of freedom of religion, freedom of speech and freedom of the press would not have been established. The Catholic Church would have continued to control every aspect of every person's life, and our cherished and now ordinary liberties would have never been seen.
Let us remember that making the way for these basic rights was not easy. For us to have them, courageous individuals had to fight against the papal government. Many people arose, and boldly pointed out the errors of Catholic theology. As they turned against the authority of the time they had to endure awful hardships, and many times give up their lives, being sometimes drowned or burned alive for their ideas.
“Unless I am convinced by the testimony of the Scriptures or by clear reason (for I do not trust either in the pope or in councils alone, since it is well known that they have often erred and contradicted themselves), I am bound by the Scriptures I have quoted and my conscience is captive to the Word of God. I cannot and will not recant anything, since it is neither safe nor right to go against conscience. May God help me. Amen.” - Martin Luther, reply to the Diet of Worms
Statements like this one are the battle cry of the Protestant Reformation, they show that we must stand for what is true and upright, though the heavens fall. Must this be silenced now?
Shortly after his statement, on the 25 of May 1521, Luther was declared an outlaw and it was made a crime for anyone in Germany to give Luther food or shelter. In addition, anyone could kill Luther without legal consequence. The Emperor stated, “We want him to be apprehended and punished as a notorious heretic.” In this occasion the papacy almost got what they wanted, Luther's life was saved by fearless people who stood for what was right, even though it was forbidden.
How many of the abandoned Biblical principles, discovered in the Reformation, has the Catholic Church turned back to? Christians cannot be united with a system that does not hold the Word of God as the ultimate authority.
Let us not compromise the Truths of The Scriptures, making void the agonizing deaths of many reformers, for the sake of a “unity” that Christ does not approve.
Let us show that we stand strongly behind Bible-based principles and not man made traditions. Let us show the world that The Protestant Reformation is not over.
