Beaumont Park playground is rundown and has been in decline since 1980s. The current equipment is old and in poor condition and residents have reported children hurting themselves.

This petition calls upon Rushmoor Borough Council (RBC) to replace the Beaumont Park playground equipment and improve the ground and the paving area. 

The concerns are:

Safety Concerns
The old equipment has hard, rough surfaces, the flooring is damaged and uneven, and abandoned tree stumps pose risks to children. A lack of maintenance has led to weeds encroaching on play areas, and broken glasses and rubbish being found in the playground.

Appearance  
The playground looks unattractive and is not inviting for children. 

This petition, therefore, calls on RBC to:

• Replace the old play equipment and add more variety
• Replace the damaged safety flooring

Residents report having asked Rushmoor Borough Council several times to improve the status of this playground without any result.
