Review Moderna Covid-19 Vaccine for Under 5 Before June 8
Parents of children under 5 years old feel that vaccines for our children has not been a priority. As mask mandates are lifted and no vaccines are available for this age group, we are being left defenseless.
The FDA has typically reviewed data for other age groups within two weeks of data submission, including two rounds of boosters and anti-viral treatments, but they set the meeting to review Moderna's vaccine for under 5 for June 8 -- a whole MONTH after Moderna completed their data submission on May 9. And, more concerning, communications suggest they prefer to wait and approve both Moderna and Pfizer vaccines for this age group together, even though Pfizer will not submit until June. Pfizer already missed their self-imposed deadlines of October 2021, February 2022, and April 2022. WE CANNOT WAIT.
We want the FDA to review Moderna's Covid-19 vaccine for children under 5 years old - and if the data shows it is safe and effective - to approve this vaccine AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
