The new schedule involving a SOAR (Eagle Time) that takes place in between periods and not at the beginning of a school day is highly detrimental, as it turns a useful resource into a mandatory class of sorts, forcing students to be there and lose out on the valuable sleep they could’ve otherwise gotten. Even with the 10 minute later start and 10 minute longer lunch, this is still a step backwards from the previous schedule, and something that needs to be remedied.
