Reverse the Ban on Delta 8, 9, and 10 Sales in Greenville County, SC

The Issue

My husband and I have found solace in the medicinal benefits of cannabis products available at our local smoke shops. The accessibility of these products has significantly improved our mental and physical health. However, the recent ban on Delta 8, 9, and 10 sales in Greenville County has deprived us of this safe access causing undue stress in our daily lives.

This ban is not justified as a "health crisis." In fact, it pales in comparison to the real health crisis we are facing - the fentanyl crisis plaguing our county. According to data from South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC), opioid-related deaths have been increasing year by year with fentanyl being a significant contributor.

We believe that responsible adults should be able to make their own decisions about what they consume for their well-being. The ban on Delta variants seems more like an infringement on personal freedoms than a measure taken for public safety.

We urge you to reconsider this decision that directly impacts many individuals like us who rely on these products for mental health support. Please reverse this ban and allow us access to safe alternatives that contribute positively towards our mental well-being.
