Our landlord recently gave us news that we needed to leave our property in 60 days or less because of the new “Eviction Just Cause” Law. We worked out more time but now he will be charging us 4x rent until we get a set date we can be out.

My family was not prepared to move into a new house so suddenly, we cannot afford a new place so soon. We where planning to wait another 4 years before even considering a new home.

This same landlord also refuses to fix major issues with the house, that includes the pipes that connect to the washer. We haven't had a working washing machine for over a year. There are also major issues with about every single pipe in our house that he refuses to fix. And the bedrooms are improperly insulated. And the air Conditioning is old and worn. He refuses to fix any of it. 

Please help us change this law so he can’t do this to us. I cannot loose my childhood home, we have all lived here for over 10 years and we have been good tenants the entire 10 years.
