Bringing Antonio home will have a positive impact on his family members, friends, & the community. Antonio’s goal is to start his own non-profit organization, which will save kids who are headed down the path that will lead them to jail or in a graveyard. He wants to make up these long years he’s spent behind bars, and raise his daughter before it’s too late. Antonio’s mindset is truly amazing. He’s grown to be a respectful, understanding, & ambitious adult. He is loved by many, and his support system is strong. Antonio made a mistake nine years ago. All he was thinking about was protecting himself. The self-defense lead him to prison, which has been devastating. However, he didn’t let that hold him back from accomplishments. During this incarceration, Antonio has had a clean behavior. He’s taken advantage of multiple educational opportunities. These included  Statewide Lifers/Long-term Offender Program, Re-entry Skill Building, Kairos Ministry Program, OSHA Training, and Motivation for Change. This goes to show that he’s willing to do the right things when he’s released from prison. Antonio can’t possibly follow through with his plans, nor his goals while confined within the walls of a physical prison.
