Close Revelstoke Mountain Resort in light of COVID -19
In the last 48 hours the BC government has issued statements limiting social gatherings to 250 people or less in response to the rapid spread of Coronavirus COVID-19. As a result we have seen many other ski resorts closing such as Whistler, Silver Star, and Cypress Mountain for the safety of their staff, guests and local residents.
However, you have chosen to stay open regardless of the advise being given.
A local physician posted to your Facebook page urging you to close as our community clinic, hospital and their staff can barely support the local residents should an outbreak happen and definitely cannot support the added population generated by the resort. We as a community are pleading with you to close for the safety of your staff, visitors, and the City of Revelstoke residents.
