URGENT: Miguel is currently being held in York County Jail in York, Pennsylvania, where he has been for over 6 months. His final plea for asylum was denied and now we are working to get his bond set so he can be released to fight his case from home. Together we can reuinte Miguel with his family!

Miguel's fiancee, Jessica, is expecting the family's second baby but Miguel's detention is causing major stress during the last months of her pregnancy. The strain of working full time and worrying about the future of her family has caused complications in Jessica's pregnancy. She was recently hospitalized for having contractions months before the baby is due. She was placed on bedrest and remains at significant risk of an early delivery.

Please help us get Miguel back to Jesssica and their family.

Letter to
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement ICE
Director, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement John T. Morton
Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano
and 1 other
Senator Robert Casey
I am writing to request that you immediately release Miguel Angel Orellana Garcia (A# 094-320-156) from detention so he can be with his family while he fights his deportation.

Miguel is currently being detained at York County Jail in Pennsylvania where he is awaiting deportation to El Salvador. If deported, he will be separated from his 4 year old child and his fiancée, who is expecting the couple’s second child in just a few weeks. Miguel could be deported any day now.

Miguel was born in El Salvador and was brought to the United States, in 1996, when he was only 9 years old. He attended high school in Allentown, Pennsylvania and has been working on obtaining his G.E.D so he can set a good example for his two children. Miguel has three U.S. citizen siblings and a mother who will suffer if he’s deported. Furthermore, Miguel’s deportation would force his fiancée to raise their children without their father.

Miguel has lived a difficult life since he was young, and was charged with some low-level offenses. However, he never served time in jail and regrets his youthful mistakes. Currently, Miguel is the sole provider for his family and knows his family is counting on him to do what is right. Miguel's only wish is to be released from immigration detention so he can be a good partner to Jessica and father to his children.

Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano and President Obama have both stated that deporting undocumented youth brought to the U.S. as children is not a priority. I ask that you immediately take action to stop Miguel’s deportation so he can raise his two children and stay with his family.

I urge you to immediately release Miguel Angel Orellana Garcia.
