Parental alienation is the most disturbing yet misunderstood form of abuse not identified damaging relationships and families across the US. Legal advocates amongst most court personnel in family law are not trained how to address these situations and the lifelong impact on children and parents along with their families. The psychological aspect is horrific and the anguish of memory distortion, erasing positive memories with the targeted parent and their family and friends goes unknown for years and haunts adult children of alienation for years to come as adults. I know from personal experience and want to help educate and develop healthy relationships with kids and families advocating for both parents to be involved in their child’s life. I will not cease my efforts until I see some things change and be heard for not just my situation but many others that parents have been encouraged to walk away from their own kids not by choice but by use of draining ones emotional and financial ability to fight for their parental rights.
