Pre-covid, the earliest Shuttle-UM bus left earlier and the latest bus left later. Not only have the most convenient timings changed but fewer buses are also being sent out for each stop. Not only is the bus system essential to each and every student and employee of UMD, but it's also critical for commuters who rely on it to get to and from classes. 

Last August, 30 students were left stranded at the Gaithersburg park and ride stop. An hour later, these students were finally picked up from another bus that was sent out. They arrived to campus to their classes that were already over.

When we pay 450 dollars to fund the shuttle, it should be functioning in order to support our lives as students. But in order to do this, UMD and DOTS need to return to previous frequency levels.
